Life is about balance. It’s not about extremes. It’s not about tipping the scales in one direction or the other based on the latest diet trend. It is about finding our unique balance that works best for us. Many people are looking for a “quick fix” or “magic bullet”. This approach will only tip the scales further out of balance. My focus is on helping you get your body back into balance and then establishing a lifelong plan that will take you into the future with the quality of life you deserve.

Biochemical Uniqueness
I have an individual approach to nutritional counseling which is based on the belief that we are all biochemically unique. No two people have the same metabolism, biochemical make-up, health concerns, behavorial issues or nutritional needs.. This is why no one diet is right for everyone. My nutritional plans reflect this belief and are customized to meet your individual nutrient and lifestyle needs.

Not all about calories
Many people looking to lose weight are told that it is simply a matter of calories in versus calories out. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Calories do count but where they come from counts more. This is because of our hormonal response to foods. An understanding of this is crucial to the success of any weight loss plan.
I focus on helping you heal your metabolism so that you never have a weight problem again.

Nutritional awareness
I think that it’s safe to say that we give more consideration to what we put on our bodies than what we put in our bodies. Everyday we go to the supermarket, purchase food and consume it without ever even checking the label for the ingredients when we wouldn’t dream of purchasing a shirt without first checking the material content and care instructions. One of my main focuses is to help empower you to become more nutritionally aware so that you are better equipped to make healthier decisions.

Behaviorally Speaking
Sometimes we know what to do and we just don’t do it or - we know what not to do and we do it anyway. I think most of us can relate to the phrase “we are our own worst enemy”. The psychological component of weight loss and wellness issues is very complex and must be greatly considered. I focus on helping you uncover and correct the lifestyle and behavioral factors that have sabotaged your health in the past and inspire you to set and reach realistic goals to achieving lifelong health and wellness.
